Mrs. Idaho America - Misty Kesler

It's pretty exciting to be crowned Mrs. Idaho (ok its one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me) but watching one of your friend be crowned Mrs. World that takes the cake!!! Kaley is such am amazing person...funny, intelligent, killer onstage, really just beautiful inside & out.  Not to mention her love of her platform & the difference she has made educating the state of Idaho on the prevention of childhood sexual abuse. Basically she has it all & when I heard that we could meet her a the airport.... I knew I wouldn't be missing out.
It was so fun seeing all my pageant sister & past Queens
But the best part was when Kaley was able to crown me Mrs. Idaho!!!

Mrs. Idaho - Asana Climbing Gym

ThisIsBoise TV was filming a segment at the Asana Climbing gym in Boise and while we were I had the chance to meet some 7th & 8th grade students from Anser Charter School. During filming one of the students said she wanted to buy a drink or a snack from the gym for me.  She proceeded to tell me about the "Pay it Forward" project that their school is doing and gave me a "Pay it Forward" bracelet. All she asked was that I would pay it forward to 3 different people.  What an incredible and inspiring group of kids.

Mrs. Idaho - Toys for Tots Drive

I had the opportunity to work alongside the Marines this past Saturday to collect toys for the Toys for Tots program.  It was so sweet to see the little kids that had picked out toys to donate come and put them in the bins and how happy they were to do it.  I also loved being able to see so many people came up to the Marines and thank them for service.

This precious little girl is Aurora she was with her mom driving past and told her mom she wanted to see the princess with the crown, that made my day!  She was so cute!

Mrs. Idaho - Boise Tree Lighting

My family and I spent Monday evening at the beautiful Capital Building for the tree lighting ceremony. It was hosted by Governor Butch Otter and his wife Lori Otter.  They served hot chocolate and cookies and we were serenaded by Cecil D. Andrus Elementary's choir. We love the holidays and it was a great way to kick it off by seeing the giant tree at the Capital's steps lit!
